Toaiva Satele Obituary
A private family visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. A service will be 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 616 W. 10th Ave.
Toaiva was born Aug. 6, 1945, in American Samoa. He especially enjoyed fishing.
The family said: "Toaiva Satale bka 'Mr. T' to everyone. He was a kind and humble soul: always giving and never taking. He loved the outdoors and was one hell of a fisherman. He was the strongest man we've known and he will be forever missed and loved."
Toaiva is survived by his sons, Toaiva Satele Jr., La'auli Satele, Danny Satele and Lee Satele; daughters, Mary Satele, Esther Satele and Rose Satele; brothers, Leafitusi Tiaseuolii Satele, Pouesi Satele, Fa'alata Fatutea Satele, Mika Faasaviliga Satele, Sialao Maaele Satele and Leafitusi Makuli Satele; and sisters, Eseta Ueligitone, Fuailelagi Tamasailau Salamasina and Lupe Ofisa. Toaiva was also a grandfather to 28 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, www.janssenfuneralhomes.com.
