Betty Jane Axley Carey (Nanny), 79, of Madisonville, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, September 27, 2025 surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by son, Billy Wayne Carey. Survivors: husband of 61 years, Billy Carey; daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Wood, Wallene and Johnny Hunt; son and daughter-in-law, Wally and Karen Carey; 5 grandchildren, Brandon and Kandy Peak, Bethany and Adam Powers, Brady and Sabrena Carey, Brooke and Caleb Miner, Brittani Carey; great-grandchildren, Trent Peak, Trentity Peak, Braxton Hull, Kayson Clark, Ralen Peak, Colson Carey, Harrison Powers, Carter Carey, Elyse Powers, Jovi Miner; special friends, Pat Thomas, Chad and Nichole Stair, Teddy Stephens. Per Betty's wishes no service will be held. A gathering of friends and family was held at Betty's home 2-4 P.M. Sunday, September 28th. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
