Dennis "Carl" Miller, age 74, of Vonore, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Carl loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of Deacons and Sunday School teacher. He was a retired 20 year veteran of the 134th Air Refueling Group. Carl was a retired project manager for Tennessee Associated Electric. He also was a 50 year member of IBEW Local 760.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh "Boots" Miller and Vena Carpenter Miller; sister, Loretta Lane.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Cooper Miller; children, Jason (Kristi), of Vonore, Joel (Jolynn) of Carterville, GA, Jordan (Ethan) of Nashville; grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Emma, Ella, Erin, and Jackson; brothers, Lowell (Marilyn) of Madisonville, Calvin (Sheila), of Vonore; and brother-in-law, Mike Lane.

Carl will be remembered for his love for his Lord and family. Also, he will be remembered for his contagious laugh.

The funeral service will be at 8:00 P.M., Monday, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. John Thomas McCallie, Rev. David Lane, Rev. Tommy Self, and Rev. Andy Franklin will officiate. Interment will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, prior to the service.
