William Paschal Obituary
AIKEN - William B. "Bill" Paschal, Jr., 88, passed away on June 18, 2025. Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy, sons Mark (Donna) Paschal and Greg (Michele) Paschal; grandchildren Kaylee (Trent) Yoder, Lindsey (Joe) Duncan, Allison (Eli) Underwood, Nathan (Caroline) Paschal, and Garrett (Rachel) Paschal; and seven great grandchildren - Ty, Lee, Alli, Blaire, Bennett, Penelope, and Eleanor. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Blanchard Paschal, Sr. and Roselle Quarles Paschal, and by a son, Michael.
Bill grew up in and around Madison, FL. After graduating from Florida State University, he was commissioned as an Infantry officer in the United States Army. Bill and Nancy settled in Aiken in 1974, where they had lived previously as he worked for Owens Corning, and he spent the remainder of his career in a distinguished role with Columbia Nitrogen Corporation. Upon retirement, he dedicated a good portion of his life to law enforcement service.
Bill formed many lifelong relationships through his favorite pastimes of kayaking, gardening, handgun shooting, and spending time in Hitchcock Woods. A man of his word and a living example of being trustworthy and reliable, Bill will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Memorials may be made to the Hitchcock Woods Foundation. Services will be private.

Enjoyed shooting with Bill and then going out to lunch. He liked getting a good soup and sandwich. He was a good man and my friend. He will be greatly missed.

Bill was the first neighbor to welcome us to the Alpine Drive neighborhood. He was a great friend and supporter and went out of his way to help. We admired his great devotion to volunteering for good causes, i.e. volunteering to help law enforcement, trail maintenance, children's causes. He was a great friend and will be missed. Bill Flanagan
