David E. "Dave" Netz

1943 - 2023

Dave passed away November 30, 2023 at the age of 80. Resident of Shakopee, MN and 42 years on Farm Island Lake in Aitkin, MN. Dave was born on January 18, 1943 in Minneapolis to Harold and Rosetta Netz. He served in the U.S. Army and attended the University of Minnesota before he started his 35+ year career in the insurance business. Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara, son Brian (Anna) Netz, daughter Nancy Netz, granddaughters Grace, Rose, and Noelle Netz, brother William (Shirley) Netz, sisters Barbara Skeffington, Virginia (Douglas) Nimmo, sister-in-law Marija Netz, sister-in-law Nancy (Paul) Tollefsrud, as well as many nieces and nephews. Dave's greatest joy was his family, time at the lake, and fishing and hunting in the great outdoors. Preceded in death by his parents Harold (Rosetta) Netz, brother Richard Netz, brother-in-law John Skeffington, and nephew Jeffery Netz. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 15 at 10:30. Visitation 1 hour prior. Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home 7625 Mitchell Road Eden Prairie MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Wooddale Church or Pheasants Forever.
