Doris Jean Swanson

1930 - 2026

Age 95, born in Aitkin MN on March 17, 1930, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 17, 2026. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Gotfred and Elsie Johnson, her husband Roy, daughter Barbara, son Jerome (Jerry), and her sister Violet. Doris is survived by her sister Rose Hildebrand, and children Greg (Rhonda), Kevin (Soutiya), Floyd (Barbara), and Heather Swanson. Grandchildren: Bruce, Erik, Samantha (TJ), Sam, Noah, Lauryn and Sofia, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Above all else, Doris loved her kids and grandkids very much. She enjoyed cooking holiday meals, discovering new recipes on the computer, and having everyone around. She always had a cup of coffee ready when needed and truly enjoyed visiting with friends who dropped by. Later in life, Doris enjoyed reading the newspaper cover to cover, staying up to date with the latest news, putting together 1,000-piece puzzles and trying new foods.

There will be a graveside service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church cemetery in Aitkin later this spring where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Roy.
