Iris Elaine Lester, 72

Iris Elaine Lester, 72, of Alamogordo, NM formerly of Cortland, Ohio passed away January 15, 2019 at her home. Iris was born March 4, 1946 in Oakland, California to Edward and Marcella (Kiley) Baldwin.
She studied tap and ballet dancing for 14 years and became an apprentice dance instructor. She graduated from Niles McKinley High School in Niles, Ohio and attended Kent State University. Iris worked as an Industrial Engineering Supervisor for Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, retiring in 1999 after 32 years. She volunteered at the Alameda Park Zoo, Alamogordo Animal Control and taught line dancing at the Alamogordo Senior Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Thomas (Juanita) Baldwin of Garland, TX, Edward (Ann) Baldwin of Buckhannon, WV; her daughter, Mrs. Rhonda (Gregory Beck) Fessel; four grandchildren, Jason (Bernice) Baugh of Modesto, CA, Robert (Ashley Meade) Baugh of Warren, OH, Ms. Jacinta Baugh of Youngstown, OH and Mrs. Alicia (Rory Berry) Baugh of
Canfield, OH; six great-grandchildren, Olivia Oldenburg-Baugh, Camrin Tucker, Deraylin Baugh, Leonardo Baugh, Riley Berry, and Lillyanna Baugh as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Alamogordo Funeral Home where calling hours will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Tularosa, New Mexico.
