Jessie Louise (Holmes) Riordan

Alamogordo - Jessie Louise (Holmes) Riordan, age 74, passed away on May 28, 2021 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. A memorial will be held at the Scenic Chapel in Alamogordo, New Mexico on Friday, June 4th at 10:00 am.

She was born on November 27, 1946 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to William and Hazel (Searcy) Holmes. She spent over 55 years married to her "Honey", Larry and together they raised three beautiful children. Jessie devoted her life to being a wife, mother, and Grammy. She lived to watch her grandchildren play and compete in various sports. Her happy place was in her sewing room where her creativity was endless and she could bring her ideas to life through beautiful quilts. She enjoyed bowling, playing games of all kinds, and everything nature. Jessie leaves behind a legacy of love, and will be profoundly missed by those who love her.

Jessie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Holmes.

She is survived by her husband- the love of her life, Larry Don Riordan; her sister, Kerry McCall; her brothers, Lewis William Holmes and Shawn Edward Holmes; her three children, Jim Riordan and wife Lorraine, Donnette Nelson and husband Doug, and Tim Riordan and wife Randi; her grandchildren, Heath Johnson, Karly Middlebrook, Jimmy Riordan, Marissa Baumann, Tyler Riordan, Meg Nelson, Abby Riordan, and Hayden Riordan; her three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Atlas, and Slade.

Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association for research and awareness.

The Riordan family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
