Rebecca Tabar Obituary
Rebecca Marie Tabar, 21, of Alamogordo, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in Alamogordo.
Rebecca was born Sept. 21, 1986. She graduated from Academy del Sol High School in Alamogordo. She survived over two years as a double-lung transplant recipient, having received her transplant at the University of Texas-Southwest at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas.
Survivors include her parents, Tony and Linda Tabar, of the family home; a brother and sister, Phillip Tabar and Lissette Tabar, both of the family home; and her grandmothers, Angela Tabar of Parma, Ohio, and Ruth Goldwin of Ormond Beach, Fla.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
A committal service and inurnment will be Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at the St. Jude Columbarium with Father Wayne D. Herpin, S.J. officiating.

I just learned of rebecca's passing. I pray that god will care for her as much as the many people that had the fortune to know with the efforts of your family to give all the children in your care, a fighting chance in there lives. And I would like to say thank you for the opportunitys and the positive changes you have made in my life. God bless you for your kindness.

Tony and Linda, I just read of Rebecca's passing and I can't find the right words to express how sorry I am. I have always felt a sense of pleasure knowing I I played a small part in bringin your family and Rebecca together. God bless you and Tony for the love and care you gave her in her precious years.

In Heaven is this angel. We will miss her beautiful smile and her kind and loving way. I feel sarrow when I think that she is no longer with us then I think about her strength and courage and I feel that she is all around us. Rebecca is free from any type of pain endured upon her and her family. I know she is in a better place and I feel blissed to have had both the honnor and privlige to have known her. I will carry wounderful memories of her as long as I live.
