Bobby Eugene Driskell

Surrounded by his much-loved children, Bobby Eugene Driskell peacefully slipped away from this life early the morning of 7 July, 2023. Born to Pauline (Morris) and Eugene (Gene) D. Driskell November 2, 1936, Bobby was a lifelong resident of Albany, Georgia. He was predeceased by Libby, his beloved wife of 54 years.

A graduate of Albany High School, Bobby went on to earn a degree in Finance from the University of Georgia before returning to Albany to work with his father at Gene Driskell Machine Works. Bobby's greatest passions were Libby, his children Maudelle Marie, Dawn Tracy (Hart), and Eugene (Gene) Temple and his granddaughter, Autumn Elise, followed by his lifelong dedication to his work.

Bobby was a true one-of-a-kind. Always ready with a joke or a witticism, he was a warrior to the end, never retiring, passionate about his work and life. He loved his little Jack Russell dogs, huge fires in the winter, grilling, spending time with his family on Lake Eufaula and flying his Sundowner.

Bobby learned the importance of hard work at an early age and was a force to be reckoned with. He was always there for Libby and for his children. He taught all who knew him the importance of family and hard work. He will be sorely missed by many.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Terrell County Humane Society or to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Hospice.
