MSGT Curtis O. Hollowell USAF (Ret.)

MSGT Curtis O. Hollowell, USAF (Ret.), 89, of Albany, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Magnolia Manor.

His funeral service will be at 3 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Kimbrell-Stern. The Rev. Andrew Kornegay will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern prior to the service on Sunday beginning at 2 PM. Mr. Hollowell will have a burial service Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 2 PM at Andersonville National Cemetery with military honors.

He was born in Aurora, NC and served 20 years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked in sales and management with Muzak and retired from there with 20 years of service. Mr. Hollowell was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, and traveling. He loved working in his yard, spending time outdoors, building things, and working with his hands. Mr. Hollowell was always ready to help someone. He donated blood regularly and often. Mr. Hollowell was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Hollowell, Sr., and Annie Velma Tunstal Hollowell, siblings, Dalton Hollowell, Lucille Armstrong, Milton Hollowell, Jr., grandchild, Rebecca Shirley Angel.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Weltha Hollowell, Albany; daughters: Beth Conoly (Eddie), Dawson, GA, Judy Kirkland (Bud), Gainesville, GA, Sheila Bennett (Dub), Sylvester, GA; grandchildren: Brett Conoly, Brian Conoly, Anna Bowling, Jason Kirkland, Jacob Bennett; great grandchildren: Paxton Conoly, Sylus Conoly, Jay Conoly, Marcus Conoly, Tyler Bowling, Amberly Bowling.
