Maxwell T. Bland

Maxwell T. Bland, 92, of Albany, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025.

His celebration of life service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Kimbrell-Stern with interment following at Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Bevel will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Thursday prior to the service beginning at 10 AM.

Mr. Maxwell Bland was born in Jennings, FL, to David Luther Bland and Edith Johns Bland. After graduating from Clyattville High School, he traveled the world in the US Air Force. While in Morrocco, Africa, he met

the love of his life, Marguerite BenDavid. They married in December of 1954 and started a loving family. He was stationed once in Albany, GA, and upon retiring from the Air Force after 20 years, he returned to Albany where he remained. He worked at the Firestone plant and then MCLB as a civil servant, working in the quality control and retiring from there. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, the Air Force Sergeant's Association, and the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Marguerite Bland, who died November 18, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Clarence (Helen) Bland and William (Lawanna) Bland.

Left to cherish his memory are his four children: Wanda Hubble (Bill), David Bland (Kim), Peggy Bland (Macky Hare), Daniel Bland (Judy); 10 grandchildren: Michael, Johnny, Nicole, Kerileigh, Nigel, Maryssa, Zak, Anthony, Megan, Jonathan; 9 great-grandchildren, and a nephew and two nieces.
