Richard Thomas Lamb

Richard Thomas Lamb, Sr., 71, of Worth County, GA, died December 17, 2022 at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Richard was born in Sylvester, GA on January 3, 1951 to the late Carl and Jewell Lamb. Mr. Lamb was one of the first employees to begin working with P&G of Albany in 1973. After a successful career, he retired in 2016. He loved to play a round of golf at various locations and was known to golf often with his son at Pineknoll Country Club; he enjoyed hunting and was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs-attending games as he could. But most of all he deeply lovedhis children and grandchildren.

Richard was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, and also was an active member of Wiregrass Quilt Guild where he participated with the challenges of this organization. He helped anyone who needed it, and was a friend to all. He loved big and laughed often.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy B. Lamb, brother, Carlos Lamb, and a grandson Andy Stewart.

Survivors include his children, Richard "Ricky" Lamb Jr., Sylvester GA, Kathleen Bass (Jonathan), Ochlocknee, GA, Tina Stewart (Simmie), Jacksonville, FL, Joseph Booth (Kelly), Newnan, GA, Allen Herren, Sylvester, GA, and Jennifer Gregory (Tony), Dexter, GA. Grandchildren, Nicole Youmans, Doug Stewart (Amiee), Stephen Youmans (Amanda), Amy Bell (Daniel), Summer Bishop (Kane), D.J. Booth, Christopher Stewart, Sebastian Bass, Jordan Bass, and Isabella Bass. Great-grandchildren, Emory Stewart, J.J. Bishop, Leroy Stewart, Payton Bell, Bruce Youmans, Maddie Bishop, Jaxson Bell, sister Jennifer Crosby (Buddy) and a sister-in-law, Patsy C. Lamb. As well as his much-loved nieces and nephews.
