MARIA SAGARIO CUDE
Maria Sagario Cude, age 59, entered eternal rest October 5, 2025 at her residence in Freer, Texas. She was born May 14, 1966 in Mexico to Rosalio Nuñez Torres and Clotilde Rojas. Maria Cude dedicated a portion of her life to serving as a custodian for the Freer Independent School District and St. Mary's Catholic Church, a role that she approached with strong work ethic and a welcoming and clean environment for everyone. Maria's professional journey also included positions at Airmark and Casas Drive Thru, where she further demonstrated her dedication to her work. She also worked as a caretaker which showed her compassion and deep sense of responsibility. This role required not only physical assistance but also emotional support, highlighting her nurturing spirit and commitment to those she loved. Maria was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freer, Texas. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Maria enjoyed gambling and going to the maquinitas. Maria also found joy in watching her favorite Spanish novelas, which provided her with a source of entertainment and a connection to her cultural roots. Maria Cude's presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lauro "Larry" Cude; parents, Rosalio Nuñez Torres; mother, Clotilde Rojas; and brother, Carlos Rojas.
She is survived by her sister, Angelina Nuñez Rojas, Hortencia Nuñez Ambrosio, and Josefina Rojas; brothers, Gilberto Nuñez Ambrosio and Alejandro Nuñez Rojas; nieces and nephews, Evangelina Cuevas Nuñez, Nancy Sarai Cuevas Nuñez, Ramón Ambrosio Rojas, Yanira de Jesús Ambrosio Rojas, and Karla Dolores Ambrosio Rojas; mother-in-law, Olivia Cude; and special friend, Rose Moreno.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 beginning at 5 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freer prior to the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freer, Texas. Burial to follow at Hahl Cemetery in Freer, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Moreno, EJ Moreno, Aiden Moreno, Richard Garza, Lyndon Cude, and Ace Cude. Honorary pallbearer will be Mason Moreo.
