Mel, I will cherish all the talks, lunch’s we had together when I worked for Meridian. You were a great loving floor nurse, MDS nurse and friend. I still can hear the sound of the crash and seeing the smoke. When I was informed it was you in that wreck I, was devastated. I’m very sorry it was you. You were always willing to help in anything you could with Xtra shifts but always had a smile on your face. God needed a Nurse with a heart of Gold, like yours in his kingdom. May you RIP and my deepest condolences to the Barrera family.

I got to know Melissa when I was a caretaker for Betty Smith there located at RJ Meridian. Melissa also took care of my parents Leonila And Placido Gonzalez that were residents there at the RJ Meridian. Melissa was a caring nurse with her patients. I was so saddened when I heard she passed on being she was so young. My condolences to all her family.
