PEDRO SILVA GONZALEZ
Pedro Silva González, age 80, entered eternal rest October 14, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on November 17, 1944, in Alice, Texas to Santos and Martina Gonzalez.
Pedro loved football, especially supporting Alice High School's team, the Coyotes, cheering passionately during home games. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he never missed a game.
He would often rally friends and family to join him in the stands, creating an electric atmosphere filled with excitement and camaraderie. In addition to his love for football, he enjoyed fishing, where he often spent peaceful time casting his line into the shimmering waters. Those tranquil moments allowed him to reflect and unwind while also appreciating the thrill of the catch and the deep connection to nature. During the fall season, he cherished the opportunity to go hunting, finding joy in the crisp air and the beauty of the changing leaves. He also loved spending quality time with his family, sharing meals and stories around the dinner table, and barbecuing on warm days, where laughter and love filled the air. These moments were the essence of his happiness and fulfillment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Martina González, and brothers, Manuel Gonzalez, Santos González, and sisters, Irma González (Gilberto+) Rivera and Concepcion Peña.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Senaida Gonzalez; son, Freddy (Susie) Gonzalez; daughters, Nora (Belen) Longoria, Lora (Valentin) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Freddy González,Jr., Pedro Luis Gonzalez, Julian Joshua Gonzalez, Gilbert Flores,lll, Adrian Joslin, Tiffany Ann Longoria, Selina Senaida Heuston, Serina Heuston, Derek Rodriguez and great grandchildren; brother, Ramon (Margie) González; sisters, Elma (Joe +) Gaza and Reyna (Geyel) Valenzuela; brother in law, Natividad Peña; among other loving relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7:00 p.m.
The Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday morning, October 24, 2025, departing at 9:30 a.m. from Rosas Funeral Home to St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the New Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derek Rodriguez, Valentin Rodriguez, Freddy González, Jr., Pedro Louis González, Julian Joshua Gonzalez, Gilberto Flores, III, Nathan Flores, and Adrian Joslin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the funeral service professionals at ROSAS FUNERAL HOME, INC.
