Soila Linda Diaz
Alice - Soila Linda Diaz, age 52, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on July 5, 2021, in Alice, Texas. She was born September 4, 1968, to Domingo M. Charles and Elida G. Charles in Lamesa, Texas. Linda worked at Meridian for 14 years and was a personal care attendant as well. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her laughter, her quick wit, and mischievous comebacks will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mike Diaz; her mother, Elida G. Charles; her brother, Joel G. Charles "Flaco"; maternal grandparents, Juan and Ramonda Garcia; paternal grandparents, Alfonso and Ynocencia Charles; and stepmom, Sonia Charles.
Soila Linda Diaz will be lovingly remembered by her dad, Domingo M. Charles of Edinburg; her sons, Reymundo (Adriana) Ramos III, Augustine Diaz (Naysa Guzman), Juan Pablo Diaz (Alexis Gallegos), and Damien Ryan Escobar all from Allice; sister, Margie (Danny) Estrada of Alice; niece, Victoria Laurel Charles; three grandchildren, Abrielle Trevino, Rey Isaac Ramos, Amaris Mae Diaz; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends she treated as family.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at New Collins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Domingo Mendoza Jr., Domingo Mendoza III, Dylan Mendoza, Reynaldo Escobedo, Jesse Aldaco, Jaime Aldaco, and Julian Aldaco.
Services will be livestreamed via Rosas Funeral Home Facebook page beginning Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 7 p.m. and Friday, July 9, 2021, at 10 a.m. Please like the page and you will be notified once services begin.
