VILMA E. GAZA It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of Vilma E. Gaza, who was called home to our Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2025. Vilma was married to her husband, Manuel Gaza, Sr., for 35 years. She enjoyed working in the yard, followed baseball passionately, and served as a team mom. She was also a big fan of the San Antonio Spurs. Cooking was one of her favorite pastimes, and she was affectionately known as "Mima the Great". She loved hosting cookouts and spending time at the lake. A devoted Christian, she was deeply committed to her children and grandchildren. She often called her brother Norberto to pray together. She also loved shopping for antiques. She would affectionately call her oldest brother, Fred, "Viejo, "and he would call her "Mami Chiquita". She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodolfo and Olivia Cantu; twin daughters, Angie and Angel Cantu; sister, Sylvia Cantu; brother, Fernando Cantu, and Noe Cantu. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Manuel Gaza, Sr., children, Noe (Joanna) Cantu, Rudy (Arissa) Gaza; special nieces and nephew, Lisa Munoz, Melinda (Carlos) Villarreal, and Jaime (Mai) Guerrero; stepchildren, Manuel (Delia) Gaza, Jr., Veronica (Victor) Casas, Gilbert (Sally) Gaza, Marcos (Dora) Gaza, Victor (Cindy) Gaza, and Sonia Falcon; grandchildren, Amarah Cantu, Noah Cantu, and Sadie Gaza; siblings, Federico Cantu (Maria Gloria Pereida), Elda (Scott) Morrison and Norberto (Norma) Cantu; and numerous other family and friends. The family will be receiving condolences Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home, Inc., 1215 W. Front St., where a Prayer Service will commence at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. with a Chapel Service commencing at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the New Collins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Noe Cantu, Rudy Gaza, Jaime Guerrero, Carlos "Kiko" Villarreal, Manuel Gaza, Jr., Marcos Gaza, Gilbert Gaza, and Noah Cantu.
