We cherish our friendship and memories of working and worshipping (and playing!) with John and Bette. John was a giant in the Christian Church, and we mourn his loss.

My sympathies to you and your family on the loss of John. He was a wonderful man and loved and respected by all. I know my parents thought the world of your John and Bette. Will be thinking of you all. God Bless you.

We got to know Dr. Bridwell when he lived across the street from my parents on Huntington Drive. We grew to love him and cherished having dinner with him and others from the "Friday Night Bunch". Even as the members of the Friday Night Bunch dwindled, we always looked forward to seeing him and having dinner with him when we came to Amarillo. He was truly a Godly man. What a reunion is happening in heaven!

I first met this wonderful man when my aunt introduced him to me. He was always a joy to visit with. Rest gently in Heaven kind sir. You made a wonderful difference in our lives.

I got to know the Bridwells through Liz's time at now the University of Lynchburg. I value the friendship of that time and inspiration over the years that family has given to our part of the church. Blessings and Peace.

My deepest Sympathy to the Bridwell Family.
I was very young when John lived in Windsor Ontario but I remember him fondly. The Bridwell Family in the 1940's helped to mold the Giles Blvd Christian Church and left many of us with fond memories. RIP John Sincerely Kay Topliffe Shelley
