Patsy Ruth Jarrell, 84, of Memphis died Sunday, September 9, 2018, in Memphis.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 10:00 am in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating.

Family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.

Patsy was born on June 17, 1934, in Newlin, Texas to Felix and Lucille Hoover Jarrell. She was a lifetime resident of Hall County. She graduated from Memphis High School, where she was the Senior Class Secretary. Patsy played the piano, loved gardening, and going water skiing. Patsy was an avid historian of all things that happened in Hall County and knew everyone. She valued hard work and loved sports. She enjoyed basketball, college football, and the Dallas Cowboys. She had worked at the ASCS office for over 25 years, had worked at the First Bank & Trust, served as the Hall County Tax Assessor-Collector for a term, and most recently had worked as the manager for Circle H, Inc. for 33 years. She loved cats and made it a point to take care of the cats that would make their way to her house. Patsy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harvey Jarrell in 2009; and by numerous cousins.

Survivors include 2 nieces, Sheri Jarrell McGregor of Plano and Cindy Jarrell Howard of Dallas; she is also survived by several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to Fairview Cemetery Association or the Memphis Cyclone Athletic Booster Club.
