Paula Deaton Obituary
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Hillside Christian Church West Campus, 6100 S. Soncy Rd. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Paula was born November 12, 1937 in Quanah, Texas to Dan Salkeld and Voncille Hay. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1957 and attended TCU. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Deaton in 1959. Paula was a faithful member at Paramount Terrace Christian Church continuing as what is now called, Hillside Christian. She worked for many years in the insurance industry, retiring from Upshaw Insurance. Paula loved sports and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; and sister, Frances Orman.
Paula is survived by 2 daughters, Karla Stoffle and Kim Aryal both of Amarillo; 1 son, Kevin Deaton and wife, Sheri of Rockwall; 4 grandchildren, John Flovin, Trisha Flovin, Madison Deaton, and Dolan Stoffle; 1 great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Stoffle; and her best friend and dog, Lucy.

a real lady, I remember from pta at western plateau, seeing her walk daily to keep in shape, and admired by many for her abilities.
