Gerald Marcantel Obituary
Gerald was born in Mamou and has resided in Westlake/Lake Charles area for 60 years. He definitely lived life on his terms and was fiercely independent. Gerald had worked for PPG Industries for many years, he enjoyed horses and horse racing, and he had a passion for Cadillac vehicles, particularly El Dorado's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raoul and Agnes Marcantel; son, Jerry Marcantel; sister, Beryl Marcantel; and three brothers, Silton "Blackie" Marcantel, James Marcantel, and Charles Glenn Marcantel.
He is survived by two brothers, Edward Marcantel of Carlyss, and Harold Marcantel (Sandra) of Vinton; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1pm, Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Pastor Marcus Wade will officiate.
