Chad Alan Wilson

1965 - 2022

Chad Alan Wilson was born August 23, 1965. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his home in West Point, California (Calaveras County.)
He was a Senior Installation Engineer specializing in telecommunications and worked for Black Box Network Services. His co-workers described him as a "mentor, friend, and expert."
Chad was born in Nebraska, though he lived in Colorado and California for most of his life. He graduated from Katella high school in Anaheim, CA. He later moved to Orangevale, CA in 1995. In 1996 Chad met and married the love of his life, Nicole Menendez. They lived happily in Orangevale with their four children, Dustin, Shara, Dylan, and Dalan for nearly 25 years. Chad enjoyed his children and grandchildren immensely; they, and Nicole, were the center of his world. Chad's family and friends were everything to him.
Chad's hobbies included coaching football in Orangevale for 12 years. He loved camping, hunting, cars, a warm fire and a good chat. Chad's church was on the side of the road. He had to stop and help anyone in need.
Chad's biggest dream was to leave the city and build a family compound where he, Nicole, their children and the children's families could gather and perhaps even reside. Last year (2021) he achieved his goal and moved his family to a 107 acre farm in West Point, CA.
Chad is remembered and cherished by his wife of nearly 26 years, Nicole Wilson; father Roger Wilson; brother Jeff Wilson (Kelly); children Dustin Wilson (Hailey,) Shara Gregory (Jacob,) Dylan Wilson (Cali Roiz,) and Dalan Wilson; and grandchildren Rhylan, Coralynn, Charleigh, Liberty, Hunter and Jaxon. He was preceded in death by his devoted and much loved mother Lila Rae Wilson, his sister Teresa Lynn Wilson and his first wife Christine Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Christ the King Lutheran Church located at 5811 Walnut Ave, Orangevale, CA. The service will be held outdoors in the "Grove of Grace" located directly behind the church. Attendees should bring a lawn chair if you wish to be seated for the service. Wearing a protective mask would be appreciated, though not required.
