Daniel Murken Obituary
Story City - Daniel Jae Murken, 36, of Story City passed away April 20, 2021 at his home in Story City. Funeral services will be Friday April 23 at 3:00 pm at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 on Friday at the church.
Danny was born on August 31,1984 in Mopko City, South Korea and was adopted to Patrick and Mari Jo (Heldt) Murken on December 17, 1984. He grew up in Story City before living in Ames and Minneapolis before moving back to Story City a year ago. Danny enjoyed playing his guitar, talking politics and playing poker. He was baptized at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran Church.
Danny is survived by his parents, Pat and Jo Murken of Story City; a sister, Sarah Murken of Garden City; a brother, David Murken of Story City; his grandmother, Marjorie Murken of Story City; grandfather, Dayle Heldt of Boone and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Murken and grandmother, Ione Heldt.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
