In 1976, Dwight purchased Wilson Trailer Sales of Colorado in Henderson, Colorado. In 1985, Dwight built a second trailer dealership, Wilson Trailer Sales of Kansas, located in Dodge City, Kansas. He continued to operate both businesses until his retirement in 2002.
