Linda Lantz Obituary

Linda Ann Lantz
Linda (Sydnes) Lantz passed away on January 15, 2021 in Puyallup Washington. Linda passed away with Nero, Brett, Jill and Kathy at her bedside.
The first child in her family of seven children to be born in a hospital, Linda was born to Carrie (Wee) and Tilmer Sydnes on June 9, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Linda married Nero Lantz on March 12, 1966, at Palestine Lutheran Church.
Linda loved her family, whether it was her immediate or extended family. She really enjoyed letter writing, phone calls and texts with her many nieces and nephews. Linda loved and was loved by so many. She will be deeply missed.
Linda grew up in the Huxley area and graduated from Ballard High in 1965. Linda spoke fondly of her time in Huxley and enjoyed high school classes, friends and activities.
In the early years of family life, Linda and Nero, along with Brett and Jill, made many moves to different states including Washington, Montana, and Alaska, finally settling in Washington in 1981.
After trying her hand at real estate and working at Northwest Envelope, Linda found her long-term career at Boeing where she worked in the training department. She retired from Boeing in 2002. As Linda and Nero were often on the move, they built a home in St. Regis, Montana after retirement and were able to purchase a second home in Casa Grande, Arizona. After a few years, Linda and Nero moved back to Washington to be closer to family.
Surviving Linda are her husband, Nero, and her two children, Brett (Kathy) of Edmonds, Washington, and Jill, of Auburn, Washington. Linda has three grandchildren: Erin, Andrew and Gabrielle. Linda is also survived by two sisters, Janet (Gary) Thompson of Ames, Iowa, and Sandra (Garry) Wirtz of Huxley, Iowa.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Darlene and Helen, and brothers Paul and Carroll.

I just saw this and am saddened to read of Linda's passing. I worked for a brief time with Linda at the Nordstrom Distribution center in Tukwilla. She was such a kind friendly person and I felt I had know her for years even though it was only months. She has popped into my mind over the years and I have often thought of her fondly. I am sure she is greatly missed. Sincerely, Janice Sharp
