Bart Edward Henderson

Bart Edward Henderson, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on September 25, 1947, in Grand Haven, Michigan, to his loving parents, the late Bert Henderson and Maria Davis Henderson.
Bart is the beloved husband of Barbara Noustens Henderson, with whom he shared 59 memory filled years; adored father of Renee Hellmers (Mike); proud grandfather of (his favorite grandson) Blake Edward Hellmers; brother of Roy Henderson, Elisa Hamilton, the late Nacida Marinakys, Michael Henderson, and Marco Henderson. Bart also leaves behind, to cherish his memory, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, all of whom he loved greatly.
Bart graduated from Delgado Community College, where he earned an associate's degree. He bravely served his country in the United States Air Force. His dedication to his work was evident throughout his career as a customer engineer at Hewlett Packard, where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Through the trials of 2020, "PawPaw's Bar and Grill" was formed on Bart's back porch. It became a beloved gathering place for his family and friends.
Bart's love for travel encouraged him to explore the world, embracing new cultures and experiences. Music filled his home and heart, often serving as the soundtrack to many family gatherings. Above all, Bart loved being with his family, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Bart's warm smile, generous spirit, the stories he shared, and his "JOKES" will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bart shared his faith with many and his presence will forever be felt in the lives he touched and the family he so dearly loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
