Isabelle Davis Obituary

Mrs. Isabelle C. Davis was born on August 1, 1925, to the union of Ethel Mae and Aristide Chestang in Pascagoula, MS. Isabelle met and married B.J. Davis and to this union one child was born, Helen Marie Davis. Isabelle departed her earthly life at her home on September 15, 2025, to join her beloved husband and daughter in her Father's Kingdom. Isabelle devoted her life to her family, a homemaker by trade. Everybody who knew her loved her. She raised and reared all nine of her grandchildren. God allowed Isabelle to grace this world with her beautiful spirit for 100 years and 45 days. Isabelle was a devoted member of St. Phillip The Apostle Catholic Church for many years, after the closer of the church she joined Our Lady Star of the Sea where she remained before it's closer. She remained devoted to her faith until her death. Isabelle leaves behind with her cherished memories: 2 grandsons: Zimbalish Segura and Jimmy Segura (Darlene) and 4 granddaughters: Lisa Segura- Nevilles, Zina Segura- Davis (Raymond), Simone Segura and Tiffany Robinson (Richard). Ten Great- Grandchildren: James, Lameka, David, Larry (whom she raised as her son from a baby), Angelica, Terryiana, Richon, Jimmy, Jameka, Jamon and 25 Great-Great Grandchildren. Also survived by a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bonnie James Davis, her one and only daughter who departed this life 7 months before her, Helen Segura, 3 grandsons: Kinny Robinson, Bonnie Segura, and Jonathan Segura Jr. 1 great-grandson Richard Coleman Jr. 6 Brothers and 5 sisters. Isabelle said, "she has carried us this far and now it's time for her to go." Sleep well Madear. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 9:00AN - 10:00AM followed by the Mass at 11:00AM at St. Josephine Bakhita Catholic Church (Formerly St. Mary's of the Angels) 3501 N. Miro Street, New Orleans, LA 70117. Interment - Bethel Church Cemetery 25333 Harvey Rd, Franklinton, LA 70438. Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
