Jon Gennusa Obituary

Jon Jared Gennusa passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He was born in Covington, LA on May 9, 1972. He is survived by his siblings; Frank "Duke" Ralph Gennusa Jr., Wade "Tony" Anthony Gennusa, and Jodi Rebecca Gennusa, and his son Zachary Aaron Frank. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Savannah, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Frank Gennusa Sr. and Mary Jane Gennusa and his grandparents Ralph and Dorothy Gennusa and Winnie and Ike Champagne. Jared had a heart of gold; his family was his whole world. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan and rarely missed a game. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jared may be made to the Northshore Humane Society. A graveside service will be held at Allison Cemetery 77075 Sharp Rd. Folsom, LA 70437 on Monday October 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
