Louis Ybos Obituary
Dr. Ybos was born November 7, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Louis Ybos Jr. and Claire Ybos. He became an Eagle Scout before graduating from Abramson High School in New Orleans. He then graduated from The University of New Orleans and entered the L.S.U. School of Dentistry. In 1980 he married Cindy Shank in Slidell. In 1985 he opened his Dentist Office in Slidell.
He was a member of the Slidell Rotary Club, and President of the Alabama Implant Study Group.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cindy S. Ybos; two children, Brian Ybos, Gregory Ybos; a brother, David Ybos (Michelle); nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, LA, on Friday, October 31, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.

I just found out about Dr. Ybos death! I am shocked! He was my dentist for many years and I taught school with Cindy. Sending my condolences to this family.

Cindy and Family,
It saddens my heart immensely to hear of Dr. Ybos passing. I will forever remember his kindness and love for his profession. His office was my first job while a senior at SHS and thanks to him I retired with 18 years as an RDA!

To Ybos family, so sorry for your loss. I met Louie when we were both Boy Scouts in mid 60’s. We became friends then, and stayed friends thru high school! Louie went to school, I went to work, and lost touch . When I moved to Slidell, I saw his office sign, and called office to make sure that it was my old friend. We made plans to get together, and catch up and he took me hunting with him and his dad. I harvested my first buck with him, and a doe also! We stayed in touch, and sadly drifted apart again. Even though we wasn’t getting together any longer, I often thought of him frequently.
