Theresa Navickas

Theresa Navickas, of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on April 16, 1932, in Del Norte, Colorado, Theresa was the daughter of the late Polinar Pacheco and Elvira Espinosa. Theresa's journey through life was shared for 34 years with her beloved spouse, Paul Navickas, until his passing. Theresa is the adored mother of Kait Sullivan (Bill Sullivan) and Janet Gindro (the late John Gindro); proud grandmother of Jenna Cormier (Tony) and Jeff Gindro (Raina); and great-grandmother of Callie Rae and Colton J. Cormier. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Montano, and a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. After a dedicated career with Contel Phone Company, Theresa retired and was able to focus on her numerous interests and hobbies. She was an accomplished painter, crafter, and potter, bringing beauty into the world through her art. She enjoyed coin and stamp collecting, which reflected her appreciation for the stories and history behind each piece. A voracious reader, she found joy and solace in the pages of books, but treasured nothing more than time spent with family. Those who knew Theresa will remember her as the embodiment of love. She nurtured her relationships with the same care and attention that she devoted to her artistic pursuits. Her hands, always busy with the creation of something beautiful, were also quick to offer comfort and support. Theresa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
