William Magee Obituary

William Glenn Magee, "Butch", was born September 19, 1950, and passed away on September 19, 2025 surrounded by his family. Butch was 75, a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana, and a graduate of Franklinton High School, where he excelled in all sports. Butch was a lifelong dairy farmer and did lawn care for many Franklinton residents following his retirement from the dairy. Butch also served as a part of the Mississippi National Guard for many years. Butch was survived by his wife of 55 years, Rita Barber Magee Children: Elissa Magee Junkins (Phill), Brent Magee, and Matt Magee (Kory) Grandchildren: Katelin Junkins Brabham (Dalton), Jacob Junkins (Emily), Kylie Magee, Maddox Magee, Graham Rhoden, and Nora Kate Rhoden Sister: Barbara Murray Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Brenda Allen (Ken), Judy Thomas (Carl), and Randy Barber Numerous beloved nieces and nephews His lifelong friend and hunting partner: Earl Bullock He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude A. Jr. and Vergie Magee; stepfather, Wilson Smith; paternal grandparents, Claude Albert and Grace Bahm Magee; maternal grandparents, Boss Bickham and Frances Kennedy Ervin; brothers in law, David Murray and Eugene Barber; and sister-in-law, Shirley Stansberry. A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted on September 27, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Bickham Cemetery on Hwy. 1056 in Franklinton, Louisiana.
