Wilmer Stewart Obituary

Wilmer "Spunk" Herbert Stewart, at the age 95, passed away on July 5, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He spent his lifetime being a dairy farmer and feuding with his brothers. He enjoyed riding his lawn mower cutting grass. Spunk loved to listen to old country, bluegrass and gospel music. His family meant everything to him, and he leaves many memories in the heart of all his loved ones, especially his many nieces and nephews. Spunk is survived by his sister, Christine Stewart Herring; brothers, Oscar "Johnny" Stewart and Eddie "Push" Stewart (Janice Stewart); and many nieces and nephews. Spunk is preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge and Elvie Stewart; along with his siblings; sister-in-laws; brother-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Trant, Hunter Hernandez, Dalton Magliolo, Brayden Hutchinson, Bradley Magliolo, and Trey Coats. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Stewart. A special thank you to Sharon and Sam Magliolo and family for their love and special care given to Spunk. Also, to ACG Hospice, his aide, Brittany Collins and nurse Chiquita Chester, and his sitters Melinda Zalson and Sandra Bankston. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside service at S & S Cemetery at 33785 Hwy 43 Independence, LA 70443 on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Officiated by Pastor Gary Dennis.
