Riley, Barth 5/8/1964 - 7/30/2021 Oak Park, Illinois Barth Brian Riley, 57, passed away at home in Oak Park, Illinois on July 30th. Barth had been battling liver disease caused by a childhood brain tumor that also left him legally blind. After graduating from Romeo High School in Romeo, Michigan, Barth obtained a BA from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, a PhD from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He worked as a statistician, psychometrician, and research scientist. Anyone who knew Barth was touched by his kindness and mild temperament. He is survived by his brother Joel of Michigan and half brother Thomas of Arkansas. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Miriam Riley of Michigan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 1:00PM at Unity of Oak Park on 405 N. Euclid Avenue in Oak Park, Illinois, where Barth was an active member for over 25 years, a volunteer, and a board member.
