Campbell T., Colin 11/7/1986 - 11/15/2021 Colin Thomas Campbell was born November 7th, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois and died November 15th, 2021, in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the age of 35. Colin was a thoughtful and caring son, brother, and friend. He was a dedicated trivia, board game, video game, and history enthusiast. Born in Chicago, and then growing up in Ann Arbor, he attended Saint Thomas the Apostle for elementary and middle school and was confirmed there as a member of the Catholic Church. During those years he was also on a summer swim team at Huron Valley Swim Club and a rollerblading hockey team at Jeffrey Arena. He is an alumnus of Pioneer High School where he was part of the Theatre Guild, Drumline, Ultimate Frisbee Team, and Swim Team; and University of Michigan where he studied Psychology as a proud Wolverine and Lambda Chi Alpha. He enjoyed making celebrations special, was an excellent gift-giver, and took pride in his appearance. He always had tickets to attend large athletic events and concerts. He led an active lifestyle, and loved golfing, skiing, hiking, kayaking, and camping. His passion for travel and the outdoors was also expressed through his many years of employment at Sierra Trading Post. With a niche interest in food and drink trends, you never know what drinks, desserts, or snacks he was going to break out at a party – whether he bought it on a whim or decided to try a new recipe. Every occasion was a special occasion. He is survived by his loving parents, Myron and Christine (Stachnik) Campbell and adoring sister, Ella Campbell; Godfather and Uncle Thomas Stachnik, and Aunt Jenny Wren; Godmother Lois Haubold; Uncles Neil Campbell (Donna Weiss), Mark (Sharlene) Campbell, Ned (Cindy) Campbell; Aunts Cheryl (Steve) Baker and Luann Campbell Aknai; and countless other relatives, friends, fraternity brothers, and loved ones, especially The Ogle and Cyrocki Families. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, T. Edward and Frances L. (Crouch) Campbell and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Victoria (Bronsberg) Stachnik. A visitation will take place Monday, November 22, 2021 from 4-8pm with a Scripture Service at 7pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 a visitation will begin at 9:30am until the funeral mass at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 530 Elizabeth Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. I became friends with Colin while working together for a couple of years. We enjoyed many good conversations and laughs. He was a man of high integrity who had a passion for life. I enjoyed hearing about his plans and accomplishments concerning his many activities and adventures, be it on the ski slopes, camping with his many good friends or his trivia conquests. I greatly admired Colin and never once heard him have a negative thing to say about anyone. My prayers and love go out to his family and friends and I wish you comfort and peace during this most difficult time. He will be greatly missed. -Jack Melangton
