Roberts, Elvin Lee Roy "Lee" 12/12/1926 - 1/9/2022 Elvin Lee Roy Roberts "Lee", 95, passed away on January 9th, 2022. He was born on December 12th, 1926 in Celina, Ohio to Lillian and Herbert Roberts. He was a graduate of Ann Arbor High, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Plumbers Local 190. Lee was someone who "never met a stranger", supported his family, and worked hard for the Ann Arbor community. He owned his own plumbing business for twenty plus years and retired after working 10 years for the City of Ann Arbor as a Plumbing/Backflow Inspector. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean Roberts, sisters, Mary Rutledge, Helen Moody, brother Herbert Roberts Jr. He is survived by his son Lee Roberts Jr. (Debbie), and daughter Carolyn Roberts, six grandchildren, Jeremiah Roberts (Kristen), Scott Roberts (Mary), Jacob Roberts (Erin), Katie Bower (Randy), Christina Lovell and Natalie Lovell and nine great grandchildren, Wyatt, Hadrian, Adelynn, Hudson, Lincoln, Killian, Keara, Callahan, and Emelia. His family loved him dearly and will forever remember him sitting on the sidelines of soccer games, eating with him at his favorite Ann Arbor restaurants, and his wonderful easy-going nature and sense of humor. Carolyn, So sorry for your loss. I had just one occasion to meet your dad at a gas station on Parker Road and I-94 he engaged me in conversation and when he discovered I was working for the Ann Arbor Police Department he told me that he was your dad and continued the conversation like we were old friends.
