Freeman, Gary Lynn 5/8/1953 - 5/2/2019 Saline, Michigan Gary Lynn Freeman was born on May 8,1953 in Jackson, Michigan, he passed peacefully among family members at home on May 2, 2019. Gary and his wife Margo (Karvel-Messina), married July 11, 2009, lived in Saline, Michigan. Gary graduated from Saline High School, Class of 1971. Gary was Retired for IBEW Union Local 252 as an Electrician. Some of his hobbies were; Bowling, Riding his Harley Davidson, Tigers Baseball, Michigan Football, spending time and volunteering with Friends at the Ann Arbor Eagles #2154, Ann Arbor Moose #1253 & The Dexter American Post 557. Gary loved spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed volunteering to help with events at both the Eagles and Moose. Every year he volunteered to help with "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" Cancer Fundraiser, he would even let his hair grow out so he could donate it to "Wigs for Kids" during this annual event. He always had fun camping out at "Camp Buck" in Irish Hills with his many friends from the Eagles. Gary always had fun visiting with his IBEW Brothers reminiscing about jobs and events that they had shared. Usually quite a laugh when "Animal" (Gary) was involved. His large heart, honest caring for all, unique sense of humor and love for his family and friends will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father Robert "Bob" Freeman. Family members surviving are his mother, Mary (Wright) Freeman. Sisters: Vickie McLeod and Tina (Tim) Watson. Brothers: Robert Jay "Bobby" Freeman and David (Lori) Freeman Sons: Kevin (Kristie Macomber) Freeman and Keith (Crystal) Freeman. Step-Daughters: Amoreena (Damien) Crawford and Heather (Bryant McGee) Messina. Grandchildren: Andrew Trout, Makenzie Freeman, Samantha "Sami" Freeman, Luna Crawford and Xander McGee. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life for Gary on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Ann Arbor Eagles #2154, 7881 Jackson Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, from 2:00pm - 6:00pm.
