Stoltz, Virgie 4/1/1936 - 6/20/2021 Belleville Virgie C. Stoltz, of Van Buren Township, MI., passed away peacefully on June 30, 2021. She was 85 years old, born in Monroe, MI., on April 1, 1936, daughter of the late Maxine and Virgil Scheich. She is survived by her children Virgil A. Stoltz, Virgette Stoltz-Sutton (Mark), and Vaughn C. Stoltz, her granddaughter Brittany (Bee) Queener (Jon), her great-granddaughter Adeline Moon Queener, and her brother Charles Scheich (Carol), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Jennifer E. Hensley. She was a graduate of Monroe High School, Western Michigan University, and Eastern Michigan University. She was an energetic teacher and a meticulous school librarian for Southgate Public Schools for 35 years. She had a passion for flowers and landscaping, initiating the birth of the Trinity Memorial Garden in the early 80s. She tended and nurtured the garden up to the last month of her life. She was the archivist for The Belleville Area Museum and Trinity Church for several years, a member of the Belleville Area Strawberry Board, the Grand Marshal of the 2017 Strawberry Festival Parade, and Trinity Episcopal Church's ever-demanding, eternal Strawboss! She was a dedicated servant of the Lord. Her faith was important to her, and she went to meet her Lord with the knowledge that she was loved. She served in numerous roles at Trinity Episcopal Church, in the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan, and in the downriver area church convocation. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed. A memorial service with be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 11575 Belleville Rd., Van Buren Township, MI, on July 31, 2021, at 11 a.m. The service will be held outdoors, within view of the Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.
