I hope Charles' family receives strength and comfort during this time of sorrow and loss. I had the pleasure of playing saxophone with Charles in the Anniston High School band in 1975. He had a unique way of expressing happiness through a horn, and took the time to teach us younger guys how to find the life in the music.

I was very sadden to hear of your lost.Charles was not only a dear friend but was like a brother to me.We all grew up together and it is a very difficult thing to think that person is no longer there anymore.But I believe he is in a better place now and looking down on us all.I remember the good days when Charles,Odell,Charlie,Marcus,Cornelius and myself use to sit around talking and just having fun.Rest in peace my dear friend and brother.

I had the privilege of working with Goggins at Homeland Security. He was a real sweetheart. He helped me out a lot and he was always telling me I talk to much. I went on vacation to Hawaii and I remember he called me one day and said "SHUT UP" I laughed at him and felt happy that he actually missed my big mouth. He will be missed by all his friends he made on this journey that we call life. He went out of work right before I got laid off and I never got a chance to talk to him again but I will always remember he would look at me and I knew to shut up. I love you and Bonnie and I will see you again one sweet day.
