A graveside service for Christine F. Vines, 95, of Anniston, will be held, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 12:00pm at Forestlawn Garden in Anniston. A public viewing will be held on, Friday, November 14, 2025, from 3pm-7pm at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to S.M. Goodson Funeral Home-Anniston. Christine Finley Vines, a loving mother and grandmother, was born on January 1, 1930, in Lafayette, Alabama to the parentage of Lonnie Hercules and Cumi Finley. A devoted Christian, Christine was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where she served diligently, allowing her unwavering faith to guide her through life's journey. As a member of the Eastern Star, Christine fostered connections and shared her faith with her community. She was a talented seamstress and poured her creativity and love into every stitch, making countless cherished items for family and friends. As an outspoken woman with a keen eye for detail, Christine didn't shy away from sharing her thoughts. In her quieter moments, Christine loved to unwind with a classic Western, especially, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and The Lone Ranger. On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 95, Christine F. Vines was done with the troubles of this world and went home to be with God. She was reunited with her parents, Lonnie Hercules and Cumi Finley and her siblings, Melvin Finley, Orrie D. Calloway, Dennis Jennings, and Willie Pitts. Christine's memories will forever be treasured and remembered with love by her daughter, Eddie Faye (Curtis) Bowie; grandchildren, Kerry B. (Dr. Sherri-Ann) Bowie of Boston, MA, Kristopher L. (Shquila) Bowie of Birmingham, AL, and Karmen E. Bowie of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren, Jaszia Bowie and Olivia Bowie, both of Birmingham, AL, and Alexis Bowie and Sophia Bowie, both of Boston, MA; siblings, Gussie L. Vines of Opelika, AL, and Ray Finley of Cincinnati, OH; special nieces who were her caregivers, Elaine (Kenneth) Emory, Gloria Gooden, Jacques Calloway, and Michelle Calloway, all of Anniston; special great niece, Tonya (Walter) Christian; special great-nephew, Anthony Gooden of Fayetteville, GA; and other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Christine will surely be missed by her fur babies, Uno and Bella. Though Christine may no longer walk among us, her legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering faith will forever shine bright in our hearts. S.M.
