Elizabeth Pope Parker Burbol

Piedmont - Mrs. Elizabeth Pope Parker Burbol, 76, of Piedmont, died Monday, January 16, 2012, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. A native of Rock Run, Alabama, Mrs. Burbol was born on August 16, 1935 the daughter of the late James "Roscoe" and Geneva Hinton Pope. She was a member of the Rock Run Baptist Church and was retired from SCT yarns. She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; and by her first husband, Robert M. Parker Sr. and second husband, Raymond Burbol. Survivors include her children, Robert M. Parker Jr. (Susan), Sonya Parker Morrow (David), stepson, Brent Parker (Sandy); grandchildren, Terri Webb Harris, Eric Harris, Keisha Smith Harris; one step-grandson, Barry Parker, great-grandchildren, Robert Morrow, Kirby Parker Harris, Keligh Mackezie Harris; Brothers, Bob Pope, David Pope, and Wallace Pope; one sister, Charlotte Sizemore. A cousin, Ann Hinton along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Burbol will be conducted on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the family lot of the Highland cemetery with the Rev. Bob Pope and Rev. Quincy Pope offciating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Folsom Funeral Home. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers and they include, Dirk, Adam, Jeff, Quincy and Keith Pope and Adam Holcombe.
