Hycie Lee Acker Reedy, 86, of Spring Garden, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Born in Centre, Cherokee Co, AL to Fred and Eddie Abernathy Acker, she was a shift supervisor for shipping at Springs. She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church, enjoyed being outside, gardening, her flowers, and watching her grandkids play ball. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bobby Sherril Reedy; daughter: Sherril Droxler; and brother: Earl Acker. She is survived by her son and daughter in law: Johnny and Sabrina Reedy; sister: Blanche Acker Rose; grandchildren: Josh Droxler, Emory Reedy, Macy Reedy, and Maggie Reedy; nephews: Dennis Acker, Robert Earl Acker, and Ricky Austin; and nieces: Karen Grogan, Brenda Ferguson, and Marcia Kerns. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 1 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. Gary Black and Rev. Hayward Clark officiating, Visitation will be from 11 AM - 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be Robert Earl Acker, Ricky Austin, Cooper Austin, Dennis Acker, Preston Burt, and Bayley Blanchard. Flowers will be accepted and memorials may be made to Piedmont Presbyterian Church, 107 E. Ladiga Street, Piedmont, AL 36272. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Reedy Family.
