James Lee "Jim" Waldrop

Mr. James "Jim" Lee Waldrop ,70, of Lineville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. He is survived by his children, Christeena Lynch, Chastity Waldrop; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Kennedy; brother, Dennis Waldrop, several nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by Nancy McNatt; daughter, Candace Rivers; parents, James and Leonora Waldrop; sister, June Raines. Growing up, he was very big into athletics at Lineville High School. After high school his love of nature and history was enhanced from his forestry occupation. While at his mom's (Lee's Country Kitchen) restaurant, he expanded his love of cooking and satisfying people through food. Later in his life he lived and worked in several five-star restaurants in the Calhoun area. Most of all in his life, he loved his children, animals, nature, Indian history and cooking.
