Janie Hendrix Obituary

Janie Y. Hendrix, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by much love and family on September 11, 2016. She was born in Brewton, on January 17, 1944, to the proud parents K.W. Yeager and Janie H. Yeager. She was the fourth child. While her oldest sibling died at birth, her brother Karl Yeager and sister Sarah Dupree still live in the Huntsville area. After graduating Huntsville High she attended Jacksonville State where she graduated in Elementary Education and met her soul mate Bobby W. Hendrix. They were married on August 29, 1964, and were married for 52 years. They attended First Baptist Church Weaver for 50 years where she loved to sing, teach and cook. She is survived by her children, Paigh H. Robinson, married to C. Scott Robinson, Karl Rex Hendrix, married to Carrie W. Hendrix, and Slava Sayenko, married to Alena Sayenko; her precious grandchildren, Ashley, Logan, Taylor, Tristan, Tucker, Tanner and Angelena who all loved her greatly. Janie is one of God's most precious children that has been called home to glory. Her visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 4 - 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church Weaver. Her service will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the church followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery at 4 p.m. Special thanks to Optum Hospice Care for taking such good care of our precious Janie. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Youth Department at First Baptist Church of Weaver. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge of arrangements. What wonderful comments here about Janie! I'm so sorry for your loss also but we all know where she is and will see her again one sweet day in Heaven with all our loved ones. What a comfort that is! Mrs Janie was a precious soul & the Love she had for our Lord & Savior shined thru her. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for her & never forget when I was 6 yrs old & my mother got sick after the birth of my brother & she had two surgeries Mrs Janie along with Mrs Betty D took the utmost of care of her while my dad was working. She always reached out to anyone in need & when you were in her presence you felt her pure inner & outer beauty. She was a precious jewel. I'm so thankful mom & I had the opportunity to talk with her just three weeks ago. My prayers are with Mr Bobby & Paigh & Bubba & family. May God continue to give you comfort & peace in the coming days.

Our loss is heavens gain, I met Janie while she worked at Federal Mogul. She was so kind and good to me ,it was so easy to love her! She was and always will be precious to me. Bubba , you probably don't remember me ,I worked in DPC when you and your Mother worked at Federal Mogul. I remember when you married your beautiful wife and how happy your Mom was.
