Jeanne Arthur Plummer

On Monday evening, November 8, 2021, Jeanne Arthur Plummer was called to her heavenly home after a short illness at the age of 92. She is once again dancing with her beloved husband of 72 years, Robert Lee Plummer. In March of this year when it was time to downsize and move into a senior living facility, Jeanne made the choice to move from her home in Anniston, AL to Fort Walton Beach, FL to be close to her daughter and grandchildren there. She was enjoying all the new friends she had made at the Meridian by Westwood, playing bridge, dice, bingo, and card games almost daily. Born July 9, 1929 in Miami, FL, Jeanne is survived by her children, Thomas Malcolm Plummer (Sandy) and Donna Plummer of Anniston, AL, Peggy Plummer Brockman of Fort Walton Beach, FL and her beloved cat, Blackie. She was Grandmother to fourteen and Gigi to seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lee Arthur and Luna Hedick; her husband, Robert (Bob) Lee Plummer; a daughter, Sharon Plummer Misner (Jim); and sister Lou Arthur Reid. She and Bob spent many years playing golf and switched to tournament bridge once she was no longer able to play golf. Following her retirement from Anniston Army Depot as a Governmental Systems Analyst, she would spend the next 40 years doing genealogy research. Following her wishes, the children and grandchildren will have a simple family interment service on Friday, November 26, 2021, in Anniston.
