Jewell Rebecca Morris

Jewell Rebecca Riddle Morris, 85, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Lighthouse Baptist Church with the Rev. David Delong and the Rev. Keith Pressley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home of Heflin in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5-7 tonight at Dryden. Pallbearers will be Keith Morris, Barry Morris, Kelly Morris, Shane Strickland, Clay Cabaniss, and Brandon Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Devin Mundy, Justin Morris, Heath Denton, Brian Denton, Brent Day, Andrew Robinson, Logan Morris and Samuel Morris. Survivors include her six daughters, Rebecca (Tom) Ross, Alda (Marion) Bannister, Lora Mundy, Nelda (Wayne) Noah, Melody Denton and Amanda (Mike) Turner; six sons, Randy (Delinda) Morris, Neal (Judy) Morris, Jed (Martha) Morris, Daniel (Ann) Morris, Jeff Morris, and Alban (Jennifer) Morris; sister, Iva Dell Johnson and sister-in-law, Glenda Riddle; 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Morris was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church since 1973. She loved the Lord. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lewis C. Morris; parents, T.J. Riddle and Ora Lee Noles; infant daughter, Rachel Susan Morris; sisters, Annie Lue Riddle and Rosa Mayfield; brothers, Henry, Ralph, Hoyt, Fred, Roy, and Harold Riddle.
