Leland Whaley Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Leland Ellis Whaley, 62, will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Harris officiating with burial to follow at Forestlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Whaley passed on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at RMC in Anniston. Mr. Whaley is survived by his son, William L. (Kelly) Whaley; daughter, Keitha R. (Dustin) Barker; sisters, Mavis (Jerry) Pearson, Martha (Ernest) Guenther, and Rebecca Norris; brother, Travis E. Whaley; grandchildren, Braden T. McMichen, Peyton Barker, Devin Barker, and Ty Barker, and Alexandra E. Whaley; loving friends, Judy Blue and George Treece; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Whaley is preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Charlsie H. Whaley. Mr. Whaley was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a graduate of Alexandria, was employed with NABI, Poole Well Service, and Laser Fab. Condolences may be left at www.graybrown service.com
