Marshall Twigg, Jr. Obituary

Marshall "Mickey" Edward Twigg, Jr. left this world on August 3, 2025, for his heavenly home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and a lifetime of unique perspectives that enriched the lives of all who knew him. A celebration of Mickey's life will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Anniston First United Methodist Church, 1400 Noble Street, Anniston. Friends and family are invited to gather at 10:30 a.m. for visitation followed by a short service. Casual attire is encouraged. Mickey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a faithful member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Gadsden and he loved his family deeply and took great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow. He was a native of Hagerstown, MD and came to Anniston in 1958 in the Army stationed at Fort McClellen. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Debbie) Twigg, Melissa Twigg, and Barry (Leigh) Twigg; and eight beloved grandchildren: Spencer Twigg, Brett Twigg, Will Barbao, Evan Twigg, Zane Barbao, Lainey Twigg, Rachel Twigg, and Marshall Twigg. Mickey was reunited in heaven with his wife of 63 years, Pat; his parents, Marshall and Trudy Twigg; his brother, Gary Twigg; and his sister, Annie Twigg. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial gifts to Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 2525 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, or to a charity of your choice-continuing Mickey's lifelong habit of generosity and service to others.
