A funeral service for Tonya Raenee Carter, 49 of Anniston, will be on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 2:00 pm at New Haven Baptist Church with Bro. George Robertson officiating. A burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery in Bynum, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. Carter passed away on September 13, 2021. She is survived by her fiancé, Patrick Poore; children, Rickey Sarrell, Brieanna Sarrell, Bryton Sarrell, Auburn Sarrell; stepchildren, Dillon Poore (Hayley Pressley), Allison Gregory (Tyler), Tanna Waldrep, Haley Waldrep; grandson, Noah Wayne Poore; mother, Madeline Carter; brother, Warren Gregory Carter Jr. (Christy); sister, Shellie Carter Beasley (Kent); fur baby, Wren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nephew, and extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Chief Warrant Officer Warren Gregory Carter Sr. Pallbearers will be Hunter Carter, Caleb Carter, Josh Beasley, Tyler Gregory, Morgan Polk, and Boyce Poore. Mrs. Carter was a 1990 graduate of Alexandria High School and was a 2012 graduate of Gadsden State Community College. Mrs. Carter was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. She loved to sew and watching Alabama football. Mrs. Carter was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The family will accept flowers or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
