William Shears Obituary

Graveside service for William G. Shears, 84, of Lincoln, was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Forestlawn Gardens with the Reverend Milton Harris officiating. Mr. Shears passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy Shears and Eddie Shears Edwards; his wife, Linda Richard Shears; children, Aleshia Brock and Avery Shears; and brother, Leroy Shears (Delois).
Mr. Shears was a native of Anniston and graduated from Walter Wellborn High School. He was an outdoorsman and loved to fish. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his sister, Brenda Holmes; brother, Jimmy Shears and wife, Sharon; grandchildren, Tiffany Brock and Rebecca Smith (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Avery Smith and Wyatt Smith; long-time friend, Elizabeth Steinburg; and several nieces and nephews.
